The Innovation Award was presented to Garçon Wines for their climate-friendly, lightweight flat wine bottle. One of the first bottles to be made entirely of pre-existing,100% recycled PET, not single-use plastic, their invention was recognised as a British-born innovation that is helping advance the wine industry through bottles and packaging that is more sustainable and better suited for the 21st century. Each bottle is around 87% lighter than an average glass wine bottle, saving energy, and their flat design allows them to pack more efficiently to save space, enabling significantly lower carbon footprint and logistics costs.
